Students Land Another Grant
St. Maries Middle School students, who are a part of STAND (Support Teens Against Nicotine Dependency), have once again received a $1,000 grant. The grant was awarded by the American Lung Association. Advisor Jennifer Watkins said only seven grants were awarded by the ALA. Ms. Watkins said the students hope to use the money to purchase no smoking signs for the middle school and high school. Students also want to put up signs at bus stops.
